The century of darkness is a world terrorized by evil demons called vandels. The world was never the same again. The people needed to find a way to destroy these vandels. That was when they invented Vandel Busters, heroes with great power that could kill vandels. Years passed and the war between vandels and busters hasnt ended. And it never will. This is Beet, a legendary vandel buster that killed the lord of vandels, Beltorze. But Beltorze's son emerged and took his throne. Now, Voltorze is lord of the vandels. Who will stop him?

VandelsVandels are demons that make our lives miserable. They all live in the Vandel Castle, which is in another dimension, and buy monsters to summon. Why do they do this? For competition. Vandels get "stars" whenever they kill a group of busters or flatten a village. But no matter how many stars they have, every single vandel is dangerous. The vandel with the most stars is the lord of vandels. Its not easy for them to get stars though. Beltorze was a 5 star and still the best. Most vandels never even live to be a 4 star. More popular vandels also have territories where they can live indpependately and live closer to towns. This is Mugine, a 3 star vandel that had a swamp as a territory. He was the first vandel to be destroyed by Beet.

BustersWhen people were dying left and right because of vandels, vandel busters emerged. These busters can use divine power, or tengeki. The types of tengeki are fire, wind, water, and lightning. The difference of these types will be explained later. Busters also use Saigas, their life force forged into an ultimate weapon. But busters only use this as their last resort. Saigas can be damaged and after summoning them, the buster gets really tired over time. Even though busters are powerful, it is almost impossible to beat a vandel alone without a group. Busters usually team up with other busters to defeat stronger monsters and vandels. Most groups have 4-5 people before defeating a vandel, but it really depends. Famous groups are the Beet Warriors and the Zenon Warriors There is also a Buster Association, located all over the world. The Buster Association sets up appraisers' houses and weapon shops all over. They are actually the ones that created vandel busters. They also have broad busters, or BB's, that they send when a village is suffering and has no one to save them. This is Beet's long lost brother, Zenon, and his saiga, the Excellion Blade, infused with the divine power of wind.

AppraisersPeople become busters by going to the appraiser's house to get branded. When a buster is branded, the appraiser puts a mark on your chest showing what level you are. When you complete jobs and defeat vandels, you go over to the appraiser's house and "cash in". When you cash in, you get money and level ups. Most busters dont actually fight vandels until they are level 20 and with a group This is a picture of an appraiser

Tengeki Types
Tengeki, or divine power, comes in many different types. Water, Fire, Wind, and Lightning. Water puts out fire, fire burns through wind, wind cuts through lightning, and lightning shocks water. Here are some things you can do with each element:
Fire: You can throw fireballs, send out long streaks of flame, and concentrate the flame into different shapes. It is known for its ability to burn through almost anything. Experienced busters can send out an exploding fireball.
Wind: Wind tengeki is used to slice objects or monsters like a blade. It is also used to create tornados or hurricanes to blow your opponent away. Skilled busters can make a shield of wind protecting him/her and destroying anything that tries to touch the buster.
Water: The water tengeki is mostly used for ice. Busters can form ice into various shapes, including weapons. They can also freeze an opponent in a block of ice. You can also use it to drown enemies if they cant move. The possibilities are endless with the water tengeki.
Lightning: The lightning tengeki is harder to get used to but once mastered, you can become invincible. Inexperienced busters can infuse the power of lightning in an object and throw a blast of lightning at an opponent. Experienced users usually make it strike from the sky. Lightning tengeki is fast and extremely unpredictable.
Tengeki is used mostly by busters, but also by some civilians witht their everyday work, like making a fire. They just arent as skilled as busters are.
